UPDATE: Jewellery stores hit at Mall Of The South, shots fired

JOHANNESBURG - Six armed suspects stormed two jewellery stores at the Mall Of The South near Alberton in Johannesburg's southern suburbs on Monday afternoon.
The mall's spokesperson, Waldo Marcus, confirmed the robbery.
"Six armed suspects entered the mall and attempted to rob two jewellery store and fled off. Shots were fired but no-one was injured."
Gauteng police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini said police have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
"It is believed that the suspects entered a jewellery store and one suspect pointed a firearm at an employee."
Marcus could not confirm the value of the items stolen at both stores.
Business was back to normal by late afternoon.
