Defense shines as Eagles dominate Giants, 27-7 | Instant Analysis

PHILADELPHIA -- There's something about the Giants at night at Lincoln Financial Field that brings out the best in Billy Davis' Eagles defense.
Over the past two years, the Giants have scored just seven points in two games against theEagles defense, coordinated by Davis.
On Monday night, the Eagles beat the Giants, 27-7, to move into first place in the NFC East. Last year they beat them, 27-0, on a Sunday night.
The Giants scored on their opening drive Monday night, but were silenced after that. Davis' defense forced three turnovers, including two interceptions (one a pick-six by cornerback Nolan Carroll). They sacked Giants quarterback Eli Manning four times, harassed him all night and forced him into two intentional grounding penalties.

Manning finished 24-for-38 for 189 yards and a TD (along with the two INTs), for a passer rating of 62.3.
Here are some other observations after the Eagles remained a perfect 6-0 against the Giants on Monday Night Football.
