According to the Powerball website, the winning ticket was sold by the Michigan Lottery.
The winning numbers in Wednesday's Powerball jackpot drawing are 21-39-40-55-59 and powerball 17. This week's jackpot would be worth $191.4 million after taxes if taken as a lump sum.
The jackpot has been building since one winner took home $110 million in the Aug. 1 game.
Powerball's most recent major jackpot was in February 2015, when it climbed to $564 million.
Powerball is played in 43 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of matching all six numbers in the game are 1 in about 175 million.
The record U.S. lottery prize of $656 million was a Mega Millions jackpot awarded in March 2012. That prize was split among winners in Kansas, Illinois and Maryland. The largest Powerball jackpot ever was $591 million, won May 18, 2013.
